About Me
My name is Dr. Marina Stoilov and I am a Chiropractor. It is my passion in life to help people heal and achieve a greater state of physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being.
I graduated with honors as a Chiropractor from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2005. I also graduated with honors from the University of Toronto in 2001 and I have a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Exceptionality in Human Learning and English Literature.
As a child, I had a fascination with the concept of helping people heal, especially through the application of touch. Specifically, I did not want to work in a traditional medical setting because at the age of 5, an antibiotic had destroyed my hearing and left me profoundly hard-of-hearing. When I was in my second year of undergraduate studies, I read a pamphlet on chiropractic defining the term ‘chiropractic’ as ‘practicing by hand.’ I fell in love at first sight with the concept and the profession and I knew that this is what I wanted to do in the future. Two years later, I applied to and was accepted in chiropractic school. To this day, I feel blessed to have the tools given to me by chiropractic to help others.
In 2006 I was fortunate to work with Dr. Justine Blainey-Broker in Brampton, Ontario, at Justine Blainey Wellness Centre. Dr. Blainey-Broker is a well known chiropractor, a Trigenics practitioner and a chiropractic coach and speaker who is also known as ‘that girl’ who, at the age of 13, changed Canadian law to enable women athletes to play in professional men’s hockey teams.
In 2007, I had the opportunity to work with Dr. Roger Sahoury in Paramus, New Jersey. Dr. Sahoury is a well known Brimhall practitioner and coach who treats celebrities of the likes of Sting and Madonna.
I am excited to be working in a multi-disciplinary setting, which enables me to practice chiropractic along with other health professionals and to provide holistic alternative wellness services to the people and families of North Vancouver.
